Description

The Global Bread Knife is unique, versatile and should not be missing from the knife collection of a real home chef. With this bread knife you can not only cut bread, but thanks to its serrations you can also easily cut through hard pieces of vegetables and fruit. The serrations of a bread knife mean you need to use less force when cutting. So this bread knife also provides extra safety. The recognizable kitchen knives from Global are characterized by their simplistic high-quality blades that flow into the handle. The characteristic Global handle can be recognized by the black dimples.

Unique features and specifications

  • Patented CROMOVA 18 steel : Global knives are made of Cromova 18 steel. This type of steel is patented by Global and is therefore only used by them. Due to the very fine grain structure of the steel, the knives can be sharpened very sharply. They are sharpened by Global 15˚ per side, for a total sharpening angle of 30˚. The chromium in the composition of the steel ensures that it has good corrosion resistance. So it is stainless steel. Cromova 18 has a hardness of 58 HRC. That is slightly lower than most Japanese kitchen knives. The advantage of this is that you can easily sharpen the knives yourself.
  • Convex ground : The blade of Global knives is convex ground. This means that the edge of the blade is ground in a U-shape instead of a V-shape. The advantage of a convex ground knife is that the edge is much stronger. You can also simply sharpen convex ground knives yourself. For this you use a sharpening stone (or a belt grinder), but you cannot use a pull-through sharpener for this.
  • Balance and ergonomics : This bread knife fits perfectly in the hand thanks to its balanced design. The handle is very comfortable to hold, for both left- and right-handed people. The handle has a dimpled profile which makes it non-slip.
  • Serrated type of bread knife ' normal serration' : The serrations are all the same height, the point of the serration points outwards. Perfect for everyday use. A bread knife with a 'normal serration' is seen as the all-rounder among bread knives.
  • Durability and quality : Made of high-quality CROMOVA 18 stainless steel. A lifelong investment in your culinary journey.
  • A beautiful gift : This bread knife comes in a beautiful gift box. This not only ensures that this bread knife is protected on its way to you, but also that it puts a smile on your face when you receive it.
  • Warranty : We are fully convinced of the quality of Global kitchen knives. That is why we offer a 2-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects!

Maintaining your Global knives
Cleaning your Global knives is very easy. The blade and handle merge seamlessly. Bacteria can therefore not get in between anywhere. The stainless steel handle is also a lot less vulnerable than wood. The handle of Global knives does not split when it remains damp for too long. Although the knives are made of stainless steel, we do not recommend putting them in the dishwasher. When the blade comes into contact with other hard objects, scratches can occur. In addition, high temperatures and strong cleaning agents are harmful to the steel. Simply wash your knives by hand and dry them immediately.

Sharpen regularly
Want to know how to sharpen a bread knife? Click here . Regularly use a sharpening rod or sharpening steel to sharpen the serrations of your bread knife. This will help you effortlessly maintain the sharpness and precision of your bread knife, extend its lifespan and continue to enjoy an unparalleled cutting experience.

Storage
Properly storing your knives in a knife block is essential to not only ensure safety, but also extend the life of your knives. By storing them this way, you prevent damage to the cutting edges and ensure that they are always within reach when you need them.

Correct substrate
Quality cutting boards are essential for keeping your knives sharp and extending their life. They provide a soft, non-abrasive surface that prevents knives from dulling quickly and reduces the impact on the blade while cutting. Using quality cutting boards is an investment in both the performance and durability of your knives.
