In 1931, Eugen Hollaender founded Amefa (Apeldoorn Messenfabriek) in Apeldoorn. Since its founding, Amefa has been active in the cutlery sector and first started with the production of razor blades. Over time, however, Amefa has developed into one of the leading suppliers of cutlery in Europe, supplying more than 50 countries and currently employing approximately 300 people from all over the world.
