Kan Amefa bestek in de vaatwasser?
Ja, vrijwel al het Amefa bestek bij KookGigant is gemaakt van de hoogste kwaliteit roestvrij staal en is daardoor vaatwasmachinebestendig. Om je bestek echter generaties lang mooi te houden, zijn er twee dingen waar je op moet letten: Alleen bestek van 18/10 en 18/0 roestvrij staal (RVS) is geschikt voor de vaatwasser. Dit staat vrijwel altijd vermeld bij onze product specificaties. Spoel je bestek even kort af voordat je het in de vaatwasser plaatst. Hiermee voorkom je dat zouten, zuren en hardnekkige voedselresten het staal aantasten. Zo blijft die schitterende glans keer op keer behouden!
Wat is het verschil tussen 18/10 en 18/0?
Het fundamentele verschil tussen deze twee soorten edelstaal zit in de aanwezigheid van nikkel: waar 18/10 staal door de toevoeging van 10% nikkel een hoogwaardige, zilverachtige glans behoudt en optimaal beschermd is tegen corrosie en voedingszuren, bevat 18/0 staal 0% nikkel. Dit maakt de 18/0 variant weliswaar voordeliger en magnetisch, maar ook gevoeliger voor vlekjes en roeststipjes wanneer het vochtig blijft, terwijl de 18/10 kwaliteit de duurzame standaard is voor langdurig en intensief gebruik.
