The Satake Diamond coated sharpening steel of 23 cm. The core of the sharpening steel is solid steel and therefore stainless. Its surface is specially coated with up to 2 million diamond grains. The extra hard chrome layer gives the surface even greater wear resistance.

Why a sharpening steel?
If your knife is already in good condition, you can sharpen it with a sharpening steel. You run the knife along the attachment before you start cutting. You don't sharpen with a sharpening steel, you just ensure that the micro-particles of the knife are in the right direction so that the whole becomes sharper again.
