Unique features and specifications
-
Santoku knife 18 cm: For many home cooks, this is the knife that comes out of the drawer most often. Slicing vegetables, chopping herbs, portioning meat, and processing fish. Large enough for substantial ingredients, precise enough for fine work.
-
Paring knife 8 cm: Compact and precise. Ideal for peeling potatoes and fruit, removing seeds, and other small cutting tasks where a large knife is cumbersome.
-
High carbon steel, 60 HRC: Hard steel that stays sharp for a long time. You cut with less effort and maintain more control.
-
15° sharpening angle: A sharp edge angle, allowing the knife to glide smoothly through your ingredients.
-
Less sticking: The santoku knife has a hammered finish. This prevents slices of potato or cucumber from sticking to the blade.
-
Damascus print: The pattern is a print on the blade, inspired by traditional Damascus steel. It gives both knives the same recognizable Akari look.
-
Pakkawood handle: Ergonomically shaped and pleasant in the hand. It remains comfortable even during longer cutting sessions.
-
Good balance: The knives feel stable and cut with control. This provides confidence, no matter what you are cutting.
-
Safe design: For the paring knife, the bolster provides a clear transition between the handle and the blade. This keeps your fingers where they belong.
-
For left- and right-handed users: The santoku knife works comfortably, whichever hand you use.
- Warranty: 5-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects.
A wonderful gift
Do you know someone who loves to cook? You can't go wrong with this set. Two knives that are truly useful, in a luxury gift box. Beautiful to give, and just as nice to receive.
Use & care
A good knife requires a little attention. If you provide it, you will enjoy it for years to come.
- Wash the knives by hand in warm water with a little dish soap.
- Dry them thoroughly immediately after washing.
- Do not put them in the dishwasher. It is bad for the steel and the finish.
- Keep them sharp with a whetstone or honing rod. Regular honing works better than occasional heavy sharpening.
- Cut on a wooden cutting board. Avoid glass, marble, and stone, as these quickly dull the cutting edge.
- Store the knives in a knife block, on a magnetic strip, or in the original gift box. Loose in a drawer will dull the sharpness.
Two knives you can rely on every day
Sharp, versatile, and built to last. With the santoku knife and paring knife from the Akari series, you'll get the foundation of your kitchen right in one go. Order the set today from KookGigant and get started immediately.
